Using a system of hydraulic climbing jacks connected to one central pump, a load is lifted from it's supports and timber hardwood cribbing is added below the jacks. The jacks retract, and lift again, and more timber supports are added until the desired height is achieved. Steel stands and skid track are set around the crib piles and the load is lowered onto steel skid track shoes. Push/pull jacks are then connected to the skid track shoes and the hydraulic hoses are rearranged from the climbing jacks to the horizontal push/pull jacks. The load is moved horizontally with the extension of the push/pull jacks until it is clear from obstructions, or reaches a location to be staged, lifted or transported away. The process is reversed for installation.
